NFD used Coastline Oak for its acoustic field test, and in the range it sits a touch cooler and paler than Florence Oak. Tranquility comes from NFD and sits with our other vinyl flooring.

Tranquility is a 5mm luxury vinyl plank, 1524mm long and 228mm wide, with a 0.5mm wear layer, a built in acoustic backing and fibreglass reinforcement. Six planks come in a box covering 2.09m2, so a 20m2 room needs 10 boxes before cutting allowance. It goes down on a flat, prepared subfloor, and we confirm the method at the measure.

NFD rates Tranquility P3 for slip, describes the surface as waterproof and lists it as FloorScore certified. In NFD's acoustic brochure the range reaches 6 stars (Ln,w 39) over a 200mm concrete slab with two layers of 13mm plasterboard below, and 5 stars (Ln,w 45) with one layer; NFD notes the results are a guide only. NFD lists a lifetime residential warranty, with its terms applying, and 15 years commercial.

We supply and install Tranquility across Sydney.
