Our outdoor rug ranges

Sunset is a sisal-look flat weave made in Egypt, in beige, grey and silver, with jagged lines, a Moroccan pattern or a black border. Sizes run from 80x150cm and 80x230cm runners up to 200x290cm, so a runner fits along a kitchen bench.

Capri is a 7mm flat weave in bright colour: flamingos, a leaf pattern, a red design and a multicolour design. Every design comes in 200x290cm, and most also in 240x330cm for a big outdoor setting.

Costa is a 9mm sisal-look rug in a natural tone, with a border, a diamond or a plain sisal weave, in 160x230cm and 200x290cm.

Finca 502 is a coffee flat weave with a border, made in Belgium on a jute backing. Jute takes longer to dry, so Finca suits kitchens and covered areas best. It comes in 60x110cm and 80x150cm runners and in rug sizes up to 200x290cm.

Harbour is a 10mm pile in 100% recycled polyester, made in India and treated against UV fading. It comes in six colours, from burnt terracotta and olive green to cream and steel, in 160x230cm, 200x290cm and 240x330cm. Polyester holds more water than polypropylene, so keep Harbour under a roof and bring it in during wet weather.

Where an outdoor rug works

Under an outdoor dining table: allow about 60cm of rug beyond the table on every side, so chairs stay on the rug when they are pulled out.

Balconies: leave a strip of floor showing around the rug, so a small space does not feel boxed in.

Kitchens and laundries: a Sunset or Finca runner along the bench catches drips and crumbs.

Looking after it

Shake it out or vacuum it. Wash off spills with water and a little mild detergent, then let the rug dry fully before furniture goes back on it. In a long run of rain, bring it under cover.

Indoors, put an anti-slip underlay under any rug on tiles or timber.

Outdoor rug questions

Are outdoor rugs waterproof?
Polypropylene does not absorb water, so the rug dries quickly after rain. Water can still sit underneath on a deck, so lift the rug now and then to let the boards dry.

Can I use an outdoor rug inside?
Yes. Sunset and Finca are made for kitchens as well as outdoors, and a flat weave is easy to wipe clean.

Do you deliver outdoor rugs Australia-wide?
Yes. Delivery is free on rugs over $50, AfterPay is available, and you have 21 days to return a rug. In Sydney, you can also visit our Auburn showroom.
