Find your style

Every home is different, and the right rug depends as much on your taste as the room it's going in. Our traditional rugs bring warmth and rich pattern to formal spaces, while our modern rugs and abstract rugs suit contemporary homes that lean minimalist or bold. For something with character and history, our vintage rugs and boho rugs are hard to beat. And if comfort underfoot is the priority, our shaggy and fluffy rugs are our most-loved category for bedrooms and living rooms.

Find your size

Picking the right size makes a bigger difference than most people expect. As a quick guide for a living room: a 160 x 230 cm rug sits in front of the sofa, a 200 x 290 cm rug comes right up to the sofa legs, a 240 x 340 cm rug takes about half the sofa, and a 280 x 380 cm or 300 x 400 cm rug fits the whole sofa. In a bedroom, aim for the rug to extend at least 60cm past the sides of the bed. In a dining room, allow 60cm beyond the table on every side so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out.

We stock everything from runners for hallways through to oversized 300x400cm rugs for big open-plan spaces, plus round rugs in three sizes for under dining tables, beside beds, or as a feature in nurseries.

Find what suits your lifestyle

If you have kids or pets, our machine washable rugs are a genuine lifesaver, pop them in the wash when life happens. For outdoor entertaining areas, balconies, and covered patios, our outdoor rugs are built to handle the weather. For nurseries and play areas, our kids rugs come in playful designs with the same soft, durable construction as the rest of our range.

FAQs

How do I clean my rug?

It depends on the spill. For coffee or wine, blot immediately with a clean cloth (don't rub, that pushes it deeper), then dab with a mild detergent and water solution. For pet accidents, blot first, then neutralise with a mix of white vinegar and water, sprinkle baking soda over the spot, and vacuum once dry. For candle wax, let it harden, scrape off what you can with a blunt edge, then place a paper towel over the residue and iron on low to lift the rest. For deeper cleaning advice by rug type, our shaggy rug care guide walks through the details.

What size rug should I choose?

Living room: 200 x 290 cm comes right up to the sofa legs, 240 x 340 cm takes about half the sofa, and 280 x 380 cm or 300 x 400 cm fits the whole sofa. Bedroom: extends at least 60cm beyond the sides of the bed so your feet land on it when you get up. Dining room: 60cm beyond the table edge on all sides. Our bedroom rug size guide goes into more detail with diagrams.

What rugs work best in high-traffic areas?

Hallways, entryways, and busy living rooms need durable materials; polypropylene, wool, and jute all hold up well. Flatweave rugs and runners are easier to clean and tend to hide everyday wear better than high-pile options. Save your shaggy and fluffy rugs for bedrooms and lounge areas where they'll be appreciated.

Can I put a rug on top of carpet?

Yes, and it's a great way to add definition and texture to a room. Choose a rug that contrasts with the carpet underneath in colour or pattern, and use a rug pad designed for carpet-on-carpet to stop it from shifting around.

How do I stop my rug from slipping?

A non-slip rug pad is the answer for almost every situation, it keeps the rug in place, adds cushioning underfoot, and protects the floor underneath. For smaller rugs, double-sided rug tape works in a pinch. We sell anti-slip underlays in our accessories collection if you need one.
