Hybrid flooring is a click-together plank with a rigid core, a printed timber or stone layer and a clear wear layer on top. We stock 231 hybrid colours from seven suppliers, from 6.5mm to 12mm thick, in plank and herringbone. Buy supply only, or have us measure and install your hybrid floor anywhere in Sydney.
Hybrids are not all rated the same for water, and the difference decides whether a board belongs in a laundry.
Spills and mopping are fine on all of them. Standing water and wet rooms are where the ratings part ways.
Most of our hybrids arrive with an acoustic underlay already attached. Several have been tested to an AAAC star rating, which helps in apartments where the by-laws set a sound standard. Iconic tested at AAAC 6 Star (39 dB), and Terra Mater Summit 977 is also rated 6 Star. Guardian, Aspire, Easi-Plank, Eternity 705 and Corsica 855 are 5 Star. A result depends on the slab and ceiling it was tested over, so treat it as a guide and check your building's by-laws before you choose.
The wear layer is the clear top coat that takes the scratches. Zenith 1800, Duro Plus, Easi-Plank, Eternity 705 and Corsica 855 carry 0.5mm, and Eco Flooring's Grande and XXL ranges 0.55mm. Summit 977, Aspire, Easi-Plank Herringbone and the 12mm Lifestyle Collection carry 0.7mm.
Longer boards mean fewer end joins across a room. Hydroplank runs 1830mm, Summit 977 and Eternity 705 run 1820mm, Bass Timber's 10mm Hybrid Plus runs 1815mm, and Godfrey Hirst's Zenith 1800, HTT Duro Plus and Aspire run 1800mm.
For kitchens and entries, look at slip resistance under AS 4586. Zenith 1800 is rated P5, the top wet rating. Guardian and Easi-Plank are P4. Iconic, Aspire and Duro Plus are P3.
Almost every range offers a blackbutt and a spotted gum. They are printed, so they vary more than the real timbers do. Several boards named Blackbutt come out warmer and pinker than the species, and we say so on those product pages. Spotted gum is often the closer match. Four hybrid ranges come in herringbone: HTT Obsidian at 9mm, Easi-Plank Herringbone at 8mm with a 0.7mm wear layer and its underlay attached, Eco Flooring's Herringbone 7.0 in 150mm by 600mm blocks, and three herringbone colours in the Stonefloor range. Herringbone takes longer to lay than a straight plank, which we allow for when we quote.
You can have us supply and install, buy supply only and lay it yourself, or bring your own installer and we stay on hand to help through the job. For an install we measure, check the subfloor and give you a written quote before anything is booked. Hybrid floats on its click joint, so there is no glue or nailing, but the subfloor has to be flat. We supply and install flooring within Sydney only. What is hybrid flooring made of?
A rigid core (SPC stone polymer, WPC wood polymer or a similar composite), a printed decor layer, a clear wear layer, and on most of ours an attached acoustic underlay. Our guide what is hybrid flooring covers each layer.
Can hybrid go over tiles?
Often, if the tiles are sound and flat. HTT, for example, asks for the floor to be within 3mm over 3m. We check this at the measure.
Can I have underfloor heating?
Hydronic heating in the slab is accepted by HTT, Preference Floors and Terra Mater. HTT does not cover electric heating mats. Tell us about your heating before we quote.

How do I clean it?
Vacuum, then a damp mop with a pH neutral cleaner. HTT and Preference Floors both exclude steam mops. More in our flooring cleaning guide.

An SPC hybrid herringbone in 625 x 125mm blocks, proportioned for the pattern rather than cut down from plank stock. The blocks click together over a waterproof core and arrive ready finished. Micro bevel edges define each block, and the matte finish keeps reflections down across the angles.

We offer free delivery on orders of $50 and up to all major metropolitan areas across Australia, including all state and territory capitals for Rugs only. Some exclusions may apply if your postcode is excluded one of our team members will contact you and will discuss delivery options.
If you live outside our free delivery zone, we advise you to contact us through the chat function on our website or by emailing us info@adorerugs.com.au and we can provide a quote/ arrange alternative delivery options for you.

While delivery times vary depending on your location, we find standard delivery to major metropolitan areas usually occur within 3-7 business days once the payment has been processed. Rural areas can (but not always) take longer depending on where you live but do usually arrive within 5-10 business days.
We also offer Express Delivery to Sydney Metropolitan areas and it usually takes 1-3 Business Days, this service is free on orders of $500 and over and costs $30 on orders of $500 and below . Please note this service is for online orders only and it is not yet available for areas other than Sydney Metropolitan.
It’s also important to keep in mind some couriers have postcode exclusions. If you find this is to be the case please contact us and we can look to arrange another method for delivery to you.
All items will be delivered during business hours. Usually, we request the courier to call prior delivery, but we can't guarantee on behalf of courier.
Click and Collect and Pick Up from our local store is available at111 Station Rd Auburn NSW. Please allow 24 hours processing time. You will be notified when your order is ready for pick up via email/sms.
By default couriers have "Authority to leave" which means if the address is correct and the courier deems your porch a safe place to place your rug they will do so.
If you don't want this option and have any special delivery instructions such as 'signature on delivery' or if you'd like the couriers to put your package in a different safe spot you can request it by writing on the "delivery instructions" on checkout or emailing us at info@adorerugs.com.au and we will try our best to accommodate your request.

If you have purchased an item online you are eligible for a return for up to 21 days after the date of purchase. You will not be eligible for a return if it passes 21 days.
You will be responsible for paying shipping costs to return your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. If the item is dirty or damaged we will not issue a refund.
To complete your return, please email info@adorerugs.com.au and in the subject line please write "Return + Order number" and give a detailed reason for the returning item, include photos if possible.
We reply within 2 hours during business hours with further instructions for the return process.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
* Any item that is returned more than 21 days after delivery
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Exchange (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@adorerugs.com.au
We do not offer refunds on change of mind purchases when shopping in store. You are, however, eligible to exchange your rug within 48 hours of purchase.
To be eligible for an exchange, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. If the item is dirty or damaged we will not accept an exchange.
If you request any alterations such as overlocking or requesting a custom size the customised rugs become non refundable this is applicable to both in store and online purchases.
