Easi-Plank Natural Spotted Gum is a mid honey to brown with the wavy fiddleback figure that marks the species and a clear spread between paler and deeper planks. It is the board in the range that looks like Australian timber; Smoked Spotted Gum is the same figure a good deal darker.
Spotted gum tones suit warm and neutral walls, brass and black fittings and real timber joinery, and the variation between boards hides wear well. Because the boards vary, open several cartons at once and mix them as you lay, or the darker planks will gather in one corner.
The board is a 7.5mm stone polymer composite with 1.5mm of IXPE acoustic underlay already attached and a 0.5mm wear layer under a water-based matte. The rigid core lays over existing tiles with little telegraphing and floats on a Unilin click with a V4 micro bevel. It comes in 1520mm lengths at 180mm or 228mm wide.
It tested P4 for wet slip to AS 4586:2013 and AAAC 5 Star for impact noise, L'nTw 42 dB and FIIC 67 on a 200mm slab with a suspended plasterboard ceiling. The core is free of respirable crystalline silica. Interior water resistant, not for wet areas, in-slab hydronic heating only, and covered for 25 years structural and 20 years wear at home.
