The Ponds: the floor from Ruwan G.’s review

Carpet out. The old underlay had fused to the sheet floor and came away in strips, so it was scraped back by hand before anything went down. Two downstairs rooms were packed up so the new floor sits flush with the corridor tiles, and the stairs were clad in the same board.

Kellyville: the staircase nobody else would take on

A winding flight with steel balusters passing through every tread; the customer couldn’t find anyone willing to do it. Each board is scribed around the steel. Old carpet uplifted and taken away, no floor prep needed because the subfloor was already level, and the whole upstairs done with it, finished with scotia.

Hoxton Park: new build, the prep you never see

Yellow tongue subfloor sanded at every sheet join and the beam spot-levelled before a single board went down. That is the difference between a floor that stays flat and one that shows every join a year later. Whole upstairs plus the stairs.

Neutral Bay: office fit-out, two floors meeting at a step

Vinyl plank through the entry and the main open-plan area, carpet tiles on the raised side, joined at the step with a safety stair nosing. The subfloor was uneven and needed minor grinding, partial levelling and a feather finish before anything went down. The hardest part wasn’t the floor: it was working around a full office of desks and equipment.

The part most people worry about

Nearly everyone who lays floors in Sydney uses subcontractors. That is normal, and it is not the problem. The problem is being handed a phone number and left to chase a tradesman you have never met when a board lifts or a join sits wrong.

That is not how we work.

  • Specialists, not one generalist. We have a main flooring installer and a main carpet installer. Carpet is a different craft to hard flooring and we don’t pretend otherwise. Whichever you’re having done, the person laying it does that for a living.
  • We take full responsibility for the job. You bought the floor from us, so it is ours to make right. You never have to work out whose fault something is. You call us and we deal with it.
  • Four flooring and four carpet installs a week, deliberately. We could book more and rush them. We don’t. It is the reason the reviews read the way they do.
  • You can come and see us. Two showrooms, Auburn and Lansvale, with the ranges on the floor and people standing in them. Auburn is open 7 days, Lansvale Monday to Saturday. We are not a phone number and a van.

What our customers actually talk about

Four things come up again and again in our Google reviews. Being kept in the loop instead of having to chase. Speed, with floors bought one week and laid the next. Leaving the place clean, with the old floor and the rubbish taken away. And the price: reasonable, affordable, competitive to the max. Their words, not ours. Read them yourself:

“I recently had my carpet replaced with timber flooring by Adore Rugs, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, professional, and hassle-free. … The next day, I noticed a small issue … within a few hours, the issue was rectified. That level of responsiveness and commitment to customer satisfaction really stood out.”

“From the minute I engaged with this company, I knew that we would select them. Nas went out of his way, giving my husband and myself a thorough break down of my quote and transparency. … I went with them on Wednesday and by Saturday night my house was transformed, over easter as well!!!! The installers were so hard working. AAA+”

“Nas was a legend from day one, super helpful, genuinely knew his stuff, and explained the pros/cons of hybrid vs other options in a way that made the decision easy. … Our stairs were a bit of a headache … but they came up with a clever, out-of-the-box solution that made all the difference. The finish looks unreal and suits our French provincial style perfectly.”

What happens after you hit send

  1. We call you. Same day wherever we can, to understand the job and find a time. Nobody turns up unannounced.
  2. We measure on site. It usually takes twenty to thirty minutes, and we bring samples so you can see the options in your own light, in your own rooms.
  3. You get your price before we leave. Supply and install, itemised, in writing. Not a number that turns up three days later. If it works for you, we can book your install date on the spot.

Takes about thirty seconds, and you don’t need to measure anything first. Rough is fine. That is what we come out for.

A rough guess is fine. We confirm the exact area at the measure.

Nothing is locked in. We bring samples from every range to the measure so you can compare them side by side.

We’ll only use your details to contact you about this quote. The measure costs nothing and there is no obligation to proceed.

Why booking early matters. Four flooring installs and four carpet installs a week is a real limit, not a sales line. When the week is full, it is full. The measure is the thing that holds your place in the calendar, and it costs you nothing. Say yes on the day and your install is booked within 14 days of that.

Planning to have it done before Christmas? Most trades stop from around the middle of December, so the measure needs to happen by the first week of December for a pre-Christmas install. After that we are booking into January.

What we supply and install

  • Hybrid flooring: waterproof and hard-wearing. Suits kitchens, bathrooms and laundries as well as living areas.
  • Laminate flooring: the timber look for less, and very resistant to scratches and dents.
  • Engineered timber: a real timber surface, more stable than solid board in humid conditions.
  • Vinyl plank and tile: the thinnest option, so often no need to trim doors. Warm and quiet underfoot.
  • Carpet: warmth underfoot and a quieter room, in a wide range of colours and textures, laid by our carpet specialist.
  • Commercial carpet tiles: for offices and high-traffic spaces.

Not sure which is right for the room? That is exactly what the measure is for. Bring us the problem, whether that is the wet area, the pet, the noisy upstairs bedroom or the budget, and we’ll talk through what actually works.

Straight answers

Is the measure really free?

Yes. Free measure, free written quote, no obligation. We would rather measure properly than guess at a price over the phone and get it wrong for both of us.

Will I get a price on the day?

Yes. We measure, price it and put it in writing before we leave, so you won’t be waiting days for a number or chasing us for one. If you’re happy with it we book your install date there and then. That is the part worth doing on the day: we only run four flooring and four carpet installs a week, and the calendar fills in the order people book.

How soon can it be installed?

Within 14 days of you saying yes. Most people say yes at the measure, once they have the price in front of them, so the floor is usually in about two weeks from the visit. If you need a particular date, say so at the measure and we book around it.

Who actually lays the floor?

A main flooring installer for hard flooring, and a main carpet installer for carpet. Both are subcontractors, as is standard in this trade, but the job is ours. We take full responsibility for it, and if anything needs fixing you call us.
