Smoked Spotted Gum - 7.5mm Easi-Plank Hybrid Flooring

Easi-Plank Smoked Spotted Gum is the darkest board in the range, a mid-dark chocolate brown with the wavy fiddleback figure of the species and a spread of deeper and lighter planks. It is Natural Spotted Gum with the honey taken out, and it reads as a dark Australian timber rather than a stained oak.

Dark figured floors suit large rooms with plenty of daylight, pale walls and pale furniture, and they hold their own beside real timber joinery. They show dust and pale hair more than a mid tone. Open several cartons and mix boards as you lay, so the darkest planks spread evenly.

Construction is 7.5mm of stone polymer composite in total, 1.5mm of that being IXPE acoustic underlay bonded to the back, topped with a 0.5mm wear layer in a water-based matte. The rigid core lays over existing tiles with little telegraphing, and it floats on a Unilin click with a V4 micro bevel. Boards are 1520mm long, 180mm or 228mm wide.

Slip resistance tested P4 wet to AS 4586:2013, and impact noise AAAC 5 Star at L'nTw 42 dB. An X-ray diffraction test found no respirable crystalline silica in the core. Interior water resistant, not for wet areas, rated for in-slab hydronic heating only, with a 25 year structural and 20 year wear residential warranty.
