Wheat - 7.5mm Easi-Plank Hybrid Flooring

Easi-Plank Wheat is a light warm golden tan with smooth, even grain and very little variation between boards, a shade deeper and more even than Maize. The name is fair: it is the colour of ripe wheat rather than of pale straw.

Golden tans are forgiving floors. They hide dust and footprints better than the pale greys, sit with cream, white and stone walls and with timber joinery, and they warm a room that gets no direct sun. Under western light the gold pushes towards orange, so look at a board in that light before committing.

Easi-Plank's board is stone polymer composite, 7.5mm all up with the 1.5mm IXPE acoustic underlay counted, and the wear layer is 0.5mm under a water-based matte. Its rigid core lays over existing tiles with little telegraphing, and it floats on a Unilin click with a V4 micro bevel. Each plank is 1520mm long, at 180mm or 228mm wide.

Wet slip tested P4 to AS 4586:2013, and impact noise AAAC 5 Star, L'nTw 42 dB, FIIC 67. Silica-wise, the XRD test on the core came back clear of respirable crystalline silica. It is an interior floor, water resistant rather than waterproof, rated for in-slab hydronic heating only, and warranted for 25 years on the structure and 20 on wear at home.
