Barnside 7.5mm Easi-Plank Hybrid Flooring

Easi-Plank Barnside is a soft mid greige-brown oak with fine straight grain and low contrast between boards. It is the restrained mid tone of the range: browner than Washed Coral, less orange than Willow, and far calmer than the knotty, weathered look the name suggests.

A mid taupe floor is about the most forgiving choice for a busy home. It hides dust, sand and both light and dark pet hair, and it sits with white, grey or cream walls and with timber or painted joinery. Because the boards barely vary, it also keeps a large open plan area looking tidy. The same colour is made as Barnside Herringbone if you want a parquetry area to match.

The board is stone polymer composite, 7.5mm thick with a 1.5mm IXPE acoustic underlay bonded on and a 0.5mm wear layer in a water-based matte. It goes over sound existing tiles with little telegraphing and floats on a Unilin click with a V4 micro bevel, no glue. Boards are 1520mm long and 228mm wide, five to a 1.733m2 carton.

Wet slip tested P4 to AS 4586:2013, and impact noise AAAC 5 Star, L'nTw 42 dB and FIIC 67. The core tested clear of respirable crystalline silica. Interior water resistant, not for wet areas, in-slab hydronic heating only, and a residential warranty of 25 years structural and 20 years wear.
