Aspire RCB Hybrid Flooring
Aspire is Preference Floors' rigid core board hybrid, 8mm in total: a 6.5mm board with 1.5mm of acoustic underlay already attached. Fourteen colours, and they come in two plank widths depending on which half of the range you pick.
The Australian Timbers colours are milled at 178mm wide, which is closer to the width real hardwood boards were traditionally cut. The Contemporary colours run 223mm wide for a broader, more modern board. Both are 1800mm long and both come five planks to a carton, so the coverage differs: 1.920m2 for the Australian Timbers, 2.007m2 for the Contemporary. Worth knowing before you order, because the two do not mix neatly in one room.
The wear layer is 0.7mm, which is generous for a hybrid at this thickness and is what lets it take a hallway or a family kitchen. Micro bevel edges, click profile, floating installation, around 20kg a carton. Interior water resistant. Slip rated P3, fire tested at a CHF value of 10.1kW/m2, and FloorScore certified for interior air quality.
Care is simple and there is one rule: sweep regularly, use a damp and well wrung mop when needed, and never a steam or electric mop. Sydney supply and install, supply only, or bring your own installer.
