Godfrey Hirst Flooring
Godfrey Hirst is an Australian flooring name going back to 1865, and Adore stock five of their ranges across four different floor types. Forty products in all.
Zenith 1800 is the 10mm hybrid, and it is one of the few hybrids embossed in register, meaning the surface texture is aligned to the printed grain rather than rolled over the top. Olympus Neo and Olympus Stone are direct stick vinyl at 2.5mm, thin enough that doors and kickboards usually stay where they are in a renovation.
On the timber side, Pioneer is engineered flooring in genuine Australian species, Tasmanian oak, blackbutt and spotted gum, with a 3mm wear layer that takes two or three sandbacks over its life. Corsica Chevron is French Oak cut as a true chevron, supplied as matched left and right pairs.
What runs through the range is the testing. Godfrey Hirst publish slip ratings to AS 4586, fire figures to EN ISO 9239 and manufacture under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and their products are Green Building Council compliant for VOC emission limits. If you are working to a specification rather than just choosing a colour, those numbers are already documented.
Most ranges carry a 25 year limited residential warranty. Sydney supply and install, supply only, or bring your own installer.

Weathered Oak is not the rough silvered grey most people picture from the name. It is a muted pale greige with a soft grey-green cast running under it: the smoothest, calmest and most neutral of the four Godfrey Hirst Corsica...

Coastal Oak is a pale sandy cream with a warm cast and, more than any other colour in the Godfrey Hirst Corsica Chevron range, plenty of visible character: open knots, filled surface checks and clear grain movement from board to...

Natural Oak Brush is the untinted one: a warm golden honey that is simply what French Oak looks like with a clear lacquer over it and no stain pulling it grey or brown. It is the warmest of the four...

Coffee Oak is cooler than the name suggests. It is a smoked grey-brown rather than a warm coffee, heavily brushed, with strong open grain and dark knots that carry right through the board. It is the darkest and most dramatic...

Tassie Oak is not an oak at all. It is the trade name for a group of Australian eucalypts, and that is what gives this floor its character: a pale straw-to-blonde base with soft pink and light brown tones running...

Genuine Australian spotted gum, not a print of it. The Godfrey Hirst Pioneer range is faced with real Australian species timber veneer, and spotted gum is the species that most rewards being real. It runs honey through amber to mid...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
This is real Australian blackbutt, not an oak print with an Australian name on it. The Godfrey Hirst Pioneer range is faced with genuine Australian species timber veneer, so what you get is the actual thing: a pale golden board...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
This is real Australian blackbutt. The Godfrey Hirst Pioneer range is faced with genuine Australian species timber veneer, not an oak print wearing an Australian name. Blackbutt gives you a pale golden board with a soft olive cast and low,...

Spotted gum is the most variegated timber Australia produces, and on a brushed board you get the full effect: honey through amber to mid brown, changing markedly from plank to plank, with dark streaking driven through the grain. This is...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Eclipse Shadow is the darkest board in the Godfrey Hirst Zenith 1800 range: a near-black deep brown-charcoal with fine striation through it that stops the surface going flat. A dark floor is the most dramatic thing you can do to...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Astral Slate is the true grey of the Godfrey Hirst Zenith 1800 range: a mid cool grey with just enough brown underneath to stop it reading blue, and clear striation running the length of the board. Grey floors went out...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Galactic Grove is the warmest board in the Godfrey Hirst Zenith 1800 range and the only one with a pink-apricot cast: a mid peachy-tan with a deeper reddish-brown running through the centre of the plank. It is a distinctive floor...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Starry Spotted Gum is a lightened, calmer take on spotted gum. Genuine spotted gum runs honey through amber to brown with strong plank-to-plank variation; this board keeps the golden tan and the fine striation but dials the contrast right back....
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Prime Blackbutt is one of the more accurate species reproductions we stock: a pale golden board with a soft olive cast and low, even grain contrast, which is very close to how Australian blackbutt actually looks laid as a floor....
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Celestial Driftwood is nothing like driftwood. Real driftwood is weathered and grey; this is a rich golden amber with strong dark streaking running through it: the highest-contrast and most dramatic of the golden boards in the Godfrey Hirst Zenith 1800...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Stellar Oak is the most olive-toned board in the Godfrey Hirst Zenith 1800 range: a muted mid brown with a distinct green-grey cast that sets it apart from the golden colours sitting either side of it. That undertone is the...

Aurora Pine reads as oak, not pine. It is a warm mid golden-tan with noticeably more grain movement and darker streaking than Cosmic Sand, which is the closest colour to it in the Godfrey Hirst Zenith 1800 range. The pale...

Nebula Walnut is a dark greyed brown rather than the warm chocolate most people expect from a walnut. The grey undertone is deliberate, and it is what makes this board work in cool interiors: polished concrete, black tapware, charcoal or...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Lunar Ash is the palest board in the Godfrey Hirst Zenith 1800 range, but it is not grey. It reads as a soft cream-white with the faintest warm cast, closer to bleached oak than to ash. If an actual grey...

Solar Drift is the quietest colour in the Godfrey Hirst Zenith 1800 range: a pale warm greige-beige with very low grain contrast and a soft, even surface. Despite the name there is nothing bright about it; this is the board...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Cosmic Sand is warmer and deeper than the name suggests: a golden honey-tan oak with clear, straight grain and moderate contrast, not the pale sand tone most people picture. It is the most classic warm timber colour in the Godfrey...

Eos is the coolest and cleanest pale grey in the Godfrey Hirst Olympus Neo range: a smooth light grey with very little grain movement and almost no tonal shift between planks. It is the floor to choose when the room...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Aether is the pale warm option in the Godfrey Hirst Olympus Neo range: a soft light greige with a gentle warm cast and a smooth, low-contrast surface. It is the natural comparison to Eos, and the difference between them is...

Despite the name there is nothing blue or coastal about Aegean. It is a cool grey-brown with prominent open knots and the strongest grain contrast in the Godfrey Hirst Olympus Neo range: the most rustic and characterful board of the...
