Aether is the pale warm option in the Godfrey Hirst Olympus Neo range: a soft light greige with a gentle warm cast and a smooth, low-contrast surface. It is the natural comparison to Eos, and the difference between them is worth understanding before you order: Eos is the cooler, cleaner grey, while Aether has enough warmth in it to sit comfortably beside oak furniture, rattan and warm white walls without looking clinical. In a room that gets little direct sun, Aether is usually the safer of the two.
The reason to specify Olympus Neo is thickness. At 2.5mm it is the thinnest floor we stock, and because it is direct stick, glued to the substrate rather than floating, it barely lifts the floor level at all. In a renovation that usually means doors, kitchen kickboards and the transitions across to tile or carpet stay exactly as they are, which is often what keeps a job affordable. Bonded down it is silent underfoot, with no hollow click, no bounce and no perimeter expansion gaps to conceal.
It carries a 25 year Godfrey Hirst limited residential warranty, and the performance numbers are better than 2.5mm suggests: Group T abrasion, the top class for vinyl, a Commercial 33 heavy-duty classification under EN ISO 10874, P3 slip resistance, and residual indentation of just 0.03mm, so furniture legs and appliance feet do not leave permanent dents. A flat, dry, properly prepared substrate is essential. Supply and install available across Sydney.
