Prime Blackbutt - 10mm Zenith 1800 Hybrid Flooring

Prime Blackbutt is one of the more accurate species reproductions we stock: a pale golden board with a soft olive cast and low, even grain contrast, which is very close to how Australian blackbutt actually looks laid as a floor. It is worth saying, because plenty of boards sold as blackbutt are simply generic mid-golden oak prints with the name attached. This is the reason blackbutt has been the default new-build floor across Sydney for twenty years: light enough to keep a room bright, warm enough never to feel clinical, and neutral enough that it does not date with a colour trend.

On a species look, texture is what separates a convincing floor from an obvious one, and Godfrey Hirst's Zenith 1800 uses an embossed-in-register surface, a construction few hybrid floors use. The grain you feel is physically aligned with the grain you see, rather than a repeating emboss rolled over the top of it. Underneath, a Trigon aerated acoustic M-Core with 1.5mm acoustic backing already bonded on makes it quieter underfoot than standard hybrid, with no separate underlay to buy or lay. Super matte PUR coating, micro bevel, 1800mm x 225mm boards, floating Uniclic installation.

It is backed by a 25 year Godfrey Hirst limited residential warranty and rated P5 for slip resistance under AS 4586: the top wet-slip classification, which very few timber-look floors achieve.
