Lunar Ash - 10mm Zenith 1800 Hybrid Flooring

Lunar Ash is the palest board in the Godfrey Hirst Zenith 1800 range, but it is not grey. It reads as a soft cream-white with the faintest warm cast, closer to bleached oak than to ash. If an actual grey floor is what you are after, Astral Slate is the one to order; if you want pale with a little more warmth and movement, compare it against Solar Drift. Lunar Ash suits bright coastal and Scandinavian interiors, and it does more than any other colour here to make a small or north-facing room feel larger than it is.

On a colour this plain the surface treatment is what saves it from looking like vinyl, and Zenith 1800 has an embossed-in-register finish, which few hybrid floors do. The texture is physically registered to the grain printed underneath, so light catches it the way it catches real timber rather than sliding across a uniform emboss. The super matte PUR coating keeps reflections down, which matters most on pale floors under downlights. Underneath, a Trigon aerated acoustic M-Core and 1.5mm acoustic backing make it quieter underfoot than standard hybrid. 1800mm x 225mm boards, micro bevel, floating Uniclic installation.

Godfrey Hirst cover it with a 25 year limited residential warranty, and it is rated P5 for slip resistance under AS 4586: the highest wet-slip classification, which matters more than most people realise on a pale floor that will see bare feet and wet shoes.
