Urban Grey 7.5mm Easi-Plank Hybrid Flooring

Despite the name, Easi-Plank Urban Grey is a pale greige rather than a true grey: a light grey-beige with fine straight grain and very little contrast between boards. It sits between Doeskin, which is creamier, and Flint Grey, which is cooler and shows more knots.

Greige is the easy middle ground for a home that has both warm and cool finishes in it. It works with white or stone walls, with black tapware and with grey or timber joinery, and it does not tip yellow or blue as the light changes through the day. As a pale floor it shows dark crumbs and mud, but it hides dust and pale pet hair well.

The board is a 7.5mm stone polymer composite with 1.5mm of IXPE acoustic underlay already attached and a 0.5mm wear layer, finished in a water-based matte. It clicks together on a Unilin profile with a V4 micro bevel and floats without glue, and the rigid core lays over existing tiles in a renovation. Planks run 1520mm long and 228mm wide, five to a 1.733m2 carton.

Wet slip tested P4 to AS 4586:2013, and impact noise AAAC 5 Star, L'nTw 42 dB and FIIC 67. Preference Floors had the core tested by XRD and found no respirable crystalline silica. Interior water resistant, not for wet areas, in-slab hydronic heating only, and a 25 year structural, 20 year wear residential warranty.
