Cool Gravel is a grey terrazzo design: a mid-grey ground densely scattered with pale and dark stone aggregate, giving the busiest, most textured surface in the Alpine Artisan range. It reads as poured terrazzo rather than plain concrete, and at floor level the aggregate reads as texture rather than pattern.
That density is the practical argument for it. No other tile here hides everyday traffic as well: scuffs, dust, grit and footmarks simply disappear into the speckle. It is the obvious choice for entries, corridors, retail floors and any area where the floor gets walked on far more than it gets cleaned.
The specification is commercial rather than domestic. Class 33 rates it for heavy commercial use and class 42 for moderate industrial, well beyond what a home will ever ask of it, with an R10 slip rating under both AS 4586 and DIN 51130. The 0.55mm wear layer is what carries that rating through years of use.
Supplied as 500 x 500mm tiles at 3mm thick, which keeps floor height changes minimal over an existing surface. Supply and install available across Sydney.
