Hydroplank - Spotted Gum - 7.6mm Hybrid Flooring

Spotted Gum in the Hydroplank range is a rich mid golden-brown with dark streaking driven through the grain — a fair reading of the species, which runs honey through amber to brown with far more plank-to-plank variation than oak. It is the boldest of the timber-look colours here and the most forgiving of traffic, because a floor with this much tonal movement simply does not show marks the way an even board does.

It wants a room with some space. Across a large open-plan floor the variation looks generous; in a small room it can start to compete with everything else.

The WPC core is Hydroplank's real point of difference — warmer and softer underfoot than SPC, and more forgiving over a subfloor that is not perfectly flat. The 1830mm x 228mm board suits a high-variation species particularly well, because each plank's figure has room to read rather than being cut short. 2.503m² per carton.
