Westminster - Kinect - 9.5mm Cut Pile Carpet

Kinect is a dark slate charcoal carrying a distinct blue cast. It is not navy, which is Dwell's job, and it is not the flat charcoal of Bionic or Sensor: it is the point where grey and blue meet, deep enough to anchor a room and cool enough to give it a slightly architectural feel. Laid next to Tingle it is obviously the darker and more serious of the two, and next to Palpate, a very dark warm charcoal-brown, it is the cool opposite. It is a strong performer in offices, boardrooms and hotel corridors, where the blue keeps a dark floor from looking like plain commercial grey, and equally good at home in media rooms, studies and on stairs. The caution is the usual one for a dark cool colour: in a warm-toned interior with cream walls and honey timber it will look out of place, and in a small, poorly lit room it will close the space down. Tingle is the lighter version of the same idea.

The Westminster range from Belgotex is tufted cut pile in 100% Premium Solution Dyed Nylon, 9.5mm total thickness, over a FusionBac backing, in a 4.0m width. Premium SDN puts the colour inside the fibre, which on a dark carpet is what prevents the uneven sun-fading that ages a deep colour faster than wear does, and it means the pile can be cleaned properly rather than gently. The fibre is stain proof, fade proof and anti-allergenic.

At 9.5mm the pile is deep and soft, with the superior sound absorption Belgotex attribute to the range, which is a real advantage in apartments, upstairs bedrooms and any commercial space where acoustics are part of the brief. It holds an AS ISO 9239-1 fire rating and is rated Extra Heavy Duty Residential and Heavy Duty Commercial. Environmentally, it delivers low VOC emissions, solution dying that uses no water, ISO 14001 certification and SBTi targets set.

Belgotex warrant Westminster for 20 years residential and 10 years commercial, their longest carpet warranty. Supply and install available across Sydney.
