Storm Grey is a mid cool grey: a soft, even timber look with gentle grain and light plank-to-plank variation, a clear step darker than Grey Breeze and the newest colour in the Stonefloor timber range.
It sits in the useful middle of the grey family. Pale enough to keep a room open, deep enough that dust, pet hair and scuffs do not show the way they do on a pale board. It suits white walls, white or black joinery, concrete benchtops and chrome or black fixtures. Next to warm timber furniture or tan leather it can read cold, and Washed Oak or Natural are the warmer choices.
The specification is the reason to choose Stonefloor over cheaper hybrids: near-zero thermal expansion and contraction, rated for extended periods of direct sunlight, so the boards hold their joints in sunny north-facing rooms where ordinary hybrids can gap and cup.
