Northern Blackbutt - 7mm Eternity 705 SPC Hybrid Flooring

Northern Blackbutt is one of two Australian species in the Eternity 705 range, and the reason many people choose it over the oak designs. Blackbutt has a pale golden tone with fine, straight grain and occasional darker gum vein: a distinctly Australian floor that suits coastal homes, Queenslanders and anywhere you want the timber to feel local rather than imported.

The genuine article is a hardwood that needs sanding, sealing and protection from water. This hybrid gives you the same visual with a waterproof SPC core, so spills sit on the surface instead of soaking in and swelling the board. That makes it a straightforward choice for kitchens, hallways and open-plan living. At 1820mm long the planks suit larger rooms, and the attached 1.5mm EVA underlay handles acoustics without a separate layer. Supply and install available across Sydney.

The board is waterproof, but a click-together floor is not a waterproof assembly and is not a substitute for a waterproofing membrane. Bathrooms are excluded by most manufacturer warranties, and cover for laundries and powder rooms varies by range. Talk to us before specifying it for a wet area.
