Swish Laminate - Linden - 12mm Laminate Flooring

Linden is a cool, quiet mid-grey - a softly greyed timber with understated grain and almost no colour push in either direction. It is the most restrained board in the Swish Bespoke range. Set against Fawn, the other cool decor here, Linden is the lighter of the two by a clear margin, where Fawn drops away into a dark smoky brown; set against Floria it is a definite step darker and more decidedly grey. It suits contemporary interiors with cool grey or blue-grey walls, concrete and stone finishes, and minimalist joinery. It is not the board for you if your furniture and fittings are warm-toned, because Linden will make honey oak and brass look slightly out of place.

Grey-leaning floors have settled into being a long-term neutral rather than a trend, and Linden is a sober version of that rather than a heavily greyed one. It photographs well, which matters for rentals and properties heading to market, and its low-contrast grain keeps large open-plan floors looking calm rather than restless.

This decor sits on the Swish Bespoke platform: a 12mm board measuring 1518 x 236mm, matt-finished, micro-bevelled on four sides and embossed in register. EIR is worth understanding - the embossing plate is registered to the printed decor, so the grain you run your hand across is the grain you are looking at, not a generic texture stamped over the top. It turns up elsewhere in this catalogue, but it is the single clearest upgrade over flat-printed laminate at this thickness. Boards lock with Välinge 2G and float over underlay without adhesive, which also means an individual board can be lifted and replaced later.

The range carries an AC4 abrasion rating, an E1 VOC rating and a 25 year warranty for private use. It is approved for dry interior areas in homes and commercial premises only, so plan a different floor for wet rooms. Supply and install available across Sydney.
