120x120cm Round Rugs
A 120cm round rug is a small, soft circle for the places a big rug will not fit: beside a bed, in a nursery, under a reading chair, inside a front door. All 13 rugs in this size are plush 100% polyester, because that is what people want at this scale, something soft to step onto rather than a pattern to look at.
What is in this size
Heaven 800 has a 35mm shaggy pile on a cotton backing and comes in ivory, beige, taupe, dark taupe, silver grey, graphite, black and powder pink. Paradise 400 is a shorter, denser plush in white, silver, taupe, cream and black. Both are power loomed and both are also made in 160cm and 200cm rounds and in rectangles up to 200x290cm, so a nursery rug can be matched to the living room later.
Where it works
Beside a bed, a 120cm round sits fully clear of the bed base, which a rectangle usually cannot do, and gives a soft spot to stand on in the morning. In a nursery it fits between the cot and the change table. Under a single armchair with a floor lamp it marks out a reading corner. It is too small to go under any table with chairs, and too small for a sofa; for those, look at the 160cm and 200cm rounds.
Care
Polyester shag is soft and holds its colour, but it should be vacuumed on suction only, without a rotating brush, so the long pile is not pulled. Shake it outside now and then. On tiles or timber, put an anti-slip underlay underneath, since a light rug this size will move.
