Royal Grey - 14/2mm Prestige Oak Engineered Timber Flooring

Royal Grey is a mid warm greige-brown with a taupe cast, visible grain and a scatter of knots. Despite the name it is warmer than it is grey: a mushroom-toned oak that sits between the pale boards and the two dark ones in the Prestige Oak 14/2mm range.

Taupe is the colour that lets a floor work with both grey and warm schemes, and it hides everyday wear well. Royal Grey suits linen, plaster, brass and black steel, and it is a good choice where a paler board would show too much and a darker one would close the room in.

Prestige Oak 14/2mm is Preference Floors' click engineered oak: a 2mm genuine European Oak wear layer over a 14mm engineered board, joined with a click profile and laid floating. It is real timber on the surface, with the grain and variation no print reproduces, at a lower entry than the 15/4mm range. The trade-off is the wear layer. At 2mm it is a floor you refresh with a clean and a coat rather than one you sand back. Matte polyurethane finish, limited lifetime structural warranty and 20 years on the finish. European Oak is a natural material. Variation between boards and between batches is expected and includes mineral streaks, knots and colour movement. This is the character of the timber, not a fault. We recommend ordering all material for a job at once. Samples are in both Sydney showrooms.
