Prestige Oak Engineered Timber Flooring
Prestige Oak is Preference Floors' engineered timber range, built as a 15/4mm board: a 4mm genuine European Oak wear layer over a 15mm engineered base. That 4mm matters. It is deep enough to sand back and recoat two or three times over the life of the floor, which no laminate or hybrid can do. Adore stocks 21 colours.
The range spans a wide tonal spread. Avola Natural, Vanilla, White Sands and Straw sit at the pale end. Latte, Tan, Chestnut and Parana hold the middle. Espresso, Liquorice, Ebony and Dark Brown are the darkest, and the grey family runs through Castle Grey, Heritage Grey, Hex Grey, Iron Grey, Grey Mist and Storm.
The finish is UV-cured European polyurethane in a matte, with a limited lifetime structural warranty and 20 years on the finish. It suits all internal areas except wet rooms, so not bathrooms or laundries. European Oak is a natural material, so mineral streaks, knots and variation between boards are the character of the timber rather than a fault. We recommend seeing it laid before choosing, and ordering all material for a job at once.

Chateau Grey is the palest cool board in the Prestige Oak range: a very light grey-white oak with a clean, almost bleached appearance and grain so soft it reads as texture rather than pattern. Where Marble carries a faint warmth,...

White Sands is a light greige oak with a wire-brushed surface, pale and cool-leaning, with the brushing raising the grain so the floor has texture you can feel as well as see. The brushed finish is what separates it from...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Vanilla is a soft pale greige-beige: a gently warmed neutral with smooth, even grain and low contrast, sitting almost exactly between the warm blondes and the cool greys in the Prestige Oak range. That middle position is what makes it...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Tan is a light-to-mid golden oak with scattered knots, warmer and a shade deeper than Straw, with the same natural character but a little more colour in it. It sits in the most useful part of the range. Light enough...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Straw is a pale natural oak with open knots, light, warm and unstained, closer to raw timber than to anything finished, with the grain and natural marks left clearly visible. It is the most honest-looking board in the Prestige Oak...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Storm is a mid grey-brown with a cool, even cast: less variation than Castle Grey, less depth than Iron Grey, and the most restrained of the greyed boards in the Prestige Oak range. Restraint is its value. Where the heavily...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Parana is a light warm greige-tan with open knots and visible character: a pale board that has not been sanitised, where the natural marks of the timber are left on show. That combination is more useful than it sounds. Pale...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Marble is the palest board in the Prestige Oak range: a very light white-grey with the faintest warm cast and grain so soft it barely registers from standing height. A floor this pale is a design decision rather than a...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Liquorice is another board whose name misleads. It is not black. It is a mid grey-brown oak, heavily wire-brushed, with unusually strong grain contrast where the brushing has cut into the softer timber and left the harder grain standing proud....
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Limewash is a warm golden oak with white pulled through the grain: the traditional limed finish, where pale pigment sits in the open pores and leaves the surface reading both warm and softened at once. Liming is an old technique...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Latte is a warm mid golden-brown: a tobacco-toned oak with even grain and a settled, unfussy character. It is the middle of the warm range: deeper than Tan, lighter than Dark Brown, and without the olive cast of Chestnut. Mid...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Iron Grey is a mid-dark smoky grey-brown with strong plank-to-plank variation: some boards reading almost charcoal, others distinctly brown, with a wire-brushed surface that gives the floor texture as well as colour. It is the darkest grey in the Prestige...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Hex Grey is a very pale greige with a faint pink undertone: one of the lightest boards in the Prestige Oak range, with soft grain and almost no contrast across the surface. Its job is brightness and space. A floor...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Heritage Grey is the most characterful board in the Prestige Oak range, and the name undersells it badly. It is not a grey floor. It is a deliberately mixed board where dark chocolate, golden honey and mid-brown planks sit side...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Grey Mist is a pale, soft grey-beige: a gently greyed oak with low contrast and quiet grain, the lightest of the true greys in the Prestige Oak range. Pale greys are the easiest timber floors to furnish around, because almost...

Espresso is worth looking at properly, because the name sets the wrong expectation. It is not a dark coffee brown. It is a warm mid golden-amber oak, closer to honey than to anything espresso-coloured, with rich flowing grain and real...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Ebony is the darkest board in the Prestige Oak range: a near-black oak with a faint purple-brown undertone and grain still readable through the depth of the stain. This is the most dramatic floor here, and it is genuinely striking...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Dark Brown is a deep chocolate oak: rich and warm, with strong grain running visibly through the depth of colour rather than disappearing into it. Dark timber floors are a commitment worth being clear about. In a room with generous...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Chestnut is a mid olive-brown: a smoked, slightly khaki oak with open knots and visible grain, warmer than the greys in the Prestige Oak range but cooler and more complex than the golden browns. The olive undertone is what makes...
AVAILABILITY: In stock (1000 items)
Castle Grey is a mid grey-brown with pronounced variation from board to board: some planks lean brown, others distinctly grey, and the wire-brushed surface catches light differently across the floor. That variation is the point. A greyed timber floor with...

Avola Natural is European Oak left to look like itself: a bright golden honey tone with clean flowing grain and no stain pushing it warmer or cooler. It is the most natural-looking board in the Prestige Oak range and the...
