Chateau Grey - 15/4mm Prestige Oak Engineered Timber Flooring

Chateau Grey is the palest cool board in the Prestige Oak range: a very light grey-white oak with a clean, almost bleached appearance and grain so soft it reads as texture rather than pattern.

Where Marble carries a faint warmth, Chateau Grey stays resolutely cool, which makes it the right choice in rooms built on white, grey and black rather than cream and timber. It brightens a dim space more than any other board here and gives dark joinery and artwork a crisp field to sit against. In a room full of warm oak furniture it will look out of place. Vanilla or Grey Mist bridge that gap better.

As with every very pale floor, fine dust shows sooner than on a strongly grained board, so it suits bedrooms and formal living areas more than hallways.

Prestige Oak is genuine European Oak with a 4mm wear layer over a 15mm engineered board: real timber, sandable and recoatable two or three times over its life, which no laminate or hybrid can match. UV-cured European polyurethane, superior matte, limited lifetime structural warranty and 20 years on the finish. Supply and install available across Sydney.

It is made in two profiles on the same 15/4mm board, tongue and groove and click. Pick the one your installer prefers at checkout. Tongue and groove can be direct stuck or floated; click is a floating install.

European Oak is a natural material. Variation between boards and between batches is expected and includes mineral streaks, black stain, medullary rays, knots, and slight surface checking and filling. This is the character of the timber, not a fault. We recommend ordering all material for a job at once.
