Straw - 15/4mm Prestige Oak Engineered Timber Flooring

Straw is a pale natural oak with open knots, light, warm and unstained, closer to raw timber than to anything finished, with the grain and natural marks left clearly visible.

It is the most honest-looking board in the Prestige Oak range. Where the stained colours impose a tone on the timber, Straw simply shows what European Oak looks like when it is left alone, which is why it suits interiors built around natural materials: linen, stone, rattan, unglazed ceramics, plenty of light.

The knots are practical as well as decorative: they break up the surface enough that this pale board hides everyday marks considerably better than a smooth light floor like Marble or Vanilla would.

Prestige Oak is genuine European Oak with a 4mm wear layer over a 15mm engineered board, deep enough to sand back and recoat two or three times over its life, which no laminate or hybrid can do. UV-cured European polyurethane, superior matte, limited lifetime structural warranty and 20 years on the finish. Supply and install available across Sydney.

It is made in two profiles on the same 15/4mm board, tongue and groove and click. Pick the one your installer prefers at checkout. Tongue and groove can be direct stuck or floated; click is a floating install.

European Oak is a natural material. Variation between boards and between batches is expected and includes mineral streaks, black stain, medullary rays, knots, and slight surface checking and filling. This is the character of the timber, not a fault. We recommend ordering all material for a job at once.
