Prestige Oak 14/2mm Click Engineered Timber Flooring

Prestige Oak 14/2mm is the click version of Preference Floors' engineered European Oak. The board is 1900 x 190mm, the same footprint as the 15/4mm Prestige Oak, built as a 2mm genuine European Oak wear layer over a 14mm engineered base and joined with a click profile for floating installation. A carton covers 2.166m2 in six planks.

Adore stocks all twelve colours. The pale end runs Iceberg, Smoke White, Ocean Mist and Abbey Grey. Buck Natural, Bondi Beach, Cobblestone, Coco Husk and Rawhide hold the warm middle. Royal Grey sits between them, and Gunmetal and Brownstone are the two dark boards.

The 2mm wear layer is the trade-off to understand. It is real oak on the surface, with the grain, the knots and the variation between boards that no print reproduces, and it is finished in the same matte polyurethane as the 15/4mm range. What it will not do is sand back and recoat the way a 4mm layer can. Treat it as a floor you refresh with a clean and a coat, rather than one you strip. Preference back it with a limited lifetime structural warranty and 20 years on the finish.

Click makes it the faster lay of the two Prestige builds, and the one most suited to a floating install over an existing slab or sheet floor. It is not for wet areas, so bathrooms and laundries are out.

European Oak is a natural material. Mineral streaks, knots and variation between boards and batches are the character of the timber rather than a fault, so see it laid before you choose and order the whole job at once. Samples of the full 14/2mm palette are in both Sydney showrooms.
