White Sands - 15/4mm Prestige Oak Engineered Timber Flooring

White Sands is a light greige oak with a wire-brushed surface, pale and cool-leaning, with the brushing raising the grain so the floor has texture you can feel as well as see.

The brushed finish is what separates it from the other pale boards. A smooth light floor can look flat across a large area; the raised grain here catches light at different angles and gives the surface life, which is particularly valuable in open-plan spaces where a lot of floor is visible at once. It also disguises light marks better than a smooth board of the same tone.

Against Limewash, which shares the brushed texture, White Sands is clearly cooler and greyer. Limewash is golden. Against Vanilla it is cooler and more textural.

Prestige Oak is genuine European Oak with a 4mm wear layer over a 15mm engineered board: deep enough to sand back and recoat two or three times, which laminate and hybrid never allow. UV-cured European polyurethane, superior matte, limited lifetime structural warranty and 20 years on the finish. Supply and install available across Sydney.

It is made in two profiles on the same 15/4mm board, tongue and groove and click. Pick the one your installer prefers at checkout. Tongue and groove can be direct stuck or floated; click is a floating install.

European Oak is a natural material. Variation between boards and between batches is expected and includes mineral streaks, black stain, medullary rays, knots, and slight surface checking and filling. This is the character of the timber, not a fault. We recommend ordering all material for a job at once.
