Checkered Rugs
Nine checkered rugs in stock, and the check is doing different work in each of them, because the construction changes everything about how a grid reads on a floor.
Cocoon 990 is the flat one: 100% polyester in a handmade jacquard flatweave on a cotton backing, in Blue and in Silver and Black. Low profile, so the check stays crisp and the rug sits flat under a door.
Feeling 501 is the opposite, a 12mm heat-set frisé polypropylene pile in Silver, Beige, and Beige Silver, where the depth softens the grid into something closer to a texture than a pattern. Grace 803 Nougat goes further again into shaggy.
Swing 100 carries a three dimensional check in Red and Black and in Silver and Black. Dorado D004 is the quiet one, grey and beige, and the only design here made in a 50x80cm doormat size as well as up to 280x380cm.
Sizes across the collection run from 80x150cm and 80x300cm runners up to 300x400cm, so the check works as a hallway runner or under a full dining setting.
A word on scale. A large check in a small room reads as pattern and takes over. The same rug under a three seater in an open-plan space reads as structure. Measure the space before choosing the grid size.
Free delivery over $50, 21-day returns, and both Sydney showrooms.
