Swish Oak Contemporary Engineered Oak Flooring
Swish Oak Contemporary is the entry point into Eco Flooring Systems' engineered oak: a 14mm board with a 2mm European oak wear layer, cut to a generous 190 x 1900mm plank. Six decors.
Two millimetres is the thinnest oak veneer of the Swish engineered oak ranges, and it is the defining trait. What you get is a genuine oak floor rather than a printed lookalike, with real grain and real depth, at a sensible cost. What it will not do is take as many full sandbacks over its life as a thicker veneer would. We are not going to put a number on how many times it can be refinished, because that depends on the installer, the machine and how much material comes off each pass. If repeated future resanding is central to your plan, Swish Oak Natura at 3mm or Wideboard at 4mm are the ranges to look at.
Finished in matt UV lacquer with micro-bevelled edges and a tongue and groove profile. It can be floated over acoustic underlay or direct glued to the subfloor, which makes it workable over both timber and concrete. In a strata apartment the floating option usually makes acoustic compliance easier to achieve.
Packs cover 2.90m2 over eight boards at roughly 22kg. Rated E1 at less than 5ppm for formaldehyde.
Engineering the board concentrates slow-growing oak where it is actually used, on the surface, rather than through the full thickness. The boards must be delivered and acclimatised in the room before installation begins. Real timber varies board to board and keeps shifting tone as it ages under light, particularly through the first year. Sydney supply and install, supply only, or bring your own installer.

Luteous means yellowish, and this board is honestly not that. The swatch shows a light, cool greige: a soft mushroom-taupe with a faint grey-pink wash, restrained grain and very little golden tone anywhere in it. Of the six Contemporary decors...

The lime in Limed Piccolo Oak lands on an olive base rather than a white one. Looking at the swatch, the board is a muted khaki-gold: a soft greenish mid-beige with white lime sitting visibly in the open grain pores...

Espresso Piccolo Oak is the darkest board in the Contemporary range, though it is brown rather than black. The swatch shows a rich chocolate-to-tobacco brown with clear reddish-amber lights coming through the grain and noticeable variation from board to board,...

Warm, honeyed and distinctly golden, Elegant Natural Oak is the richer of the two Elegant decors and one of the warmest boards in the range. The swatch reads as a mid golden-brown with clear cathedral grain, amber lights and the...

Elegant Milano Oak carries a grey-mauve cast that surprises most people who order on the name alone. Looking at the swatch directly, this is a cool limewashed oak with a distinctly pinkish-lilac undertone running through the greige, not the warm...
