Wool Rugs
Eleven wool rugs are in stock right now, and they split into four small ranges rather than one big one.
Highlands is the largest group, six designs of washable wool: Terracotta Stripe, Olive Stripe and Beige Stripe, plus Abstract Terracotta Lines, Abstract Olive Lines and Abstract Beige Lines, each drawn across a cream wool ground. Washable wool is unusual. Most wool rugs are dry clean only, so these are the ones to look at for a dining room or a house with young children. They come in 160x230cm, 200x290cm and 240x330cm.
Natura Black is a flat, densely woven rug handwoven in India from recycled wool, with no pile to speak of and the subtle irregularity that comes from being made by hand. It is reversible, so a spill on one side buys you a second face. Eco Breeze Wool Grey is the entry point to the collection and the only one that starts at 120x170cm.
Privilege 002 in Grey and Beige, and Privilege 003 in Grey, are in store only. They run 160x230cm through to 280x380cm but are not sold online, so come and see them at Auburn or Lansvale.
Wool earns its price in rooms where a rug takes real traffic. It resists crushing, holds dye in a way synthetics struggle to match, and is naturally flame resistant.
