Coastal Blackbutt - 8.5mm Corsica 855 SPC Hybrid Flooring

Corsica 855 Coastal Blackbutt is a light to mid golden tan with a peach cast and straight, fine grain, warmer and more orange than blackbutt lays as a solid timber. Real blackbutt is pale gold with an olive edge; this reads as a warm honey oak. NSW Spotted Gum is the more convincing species board in the range.

Treated as a warm golden oak it works well: it lifts rooms with no direct sun and suits cream, warm white and stone walls, timber joinery and brass or black fittings. Under western light it will push towards orange, so check a board in the room through an afternoon.

The board is 8.5mm thick, a 6.0mm rigid core with 2mm of EVA acoustic underlay bonded on and a 0.5mm wear layer, 1420mm long and 225mm wide, on a Valinge 5G click with micro-bevelled edges and 8 plank faces per design repeat.

It rated 5 Star on the AAAC acoustic scale and is 100 percent waterproof, with wet rooms permitted subject to waterproofing codes. Warranty is lifetime structural, 25 years wear residential and 10 years wear commercial, and it extends to hydronic heated slabs.
