New England Blackbutt - 9.7mm Summit 977 SPC Hybrid Flooring

Summit 977 New England Blackbutt is a light to mid warm tan with a pink cast, smooth, with fine straight grain and little variation. Of the two blackbutts in the range it is the quieter and the pinker; Coastal Blackbutt is more golden. Neither is the pale gold of the species, so choose on the colour, not the name.

Warm pink-tan floors suit cream, warm white and blush walls, rattan, linen and pale timber, and they warm a south-facing room. Cool grey cabinetry will fight the pink, so a grey kitchen is better served by Driftwood or Iron Grey.

The board is 9.7mm thick, a 7.0mm rigid core with 2mm of EVA acoustic underlay bonded on and a 0.7mm wear layer, 1820mm long and 225mm wide, on a Valinge 5G click with 8 plank faces before the print repeats.

It rated 6 Star for acoustics and is 100 percent waterproof, with wet rooms permitted subject to local waterproofing rules. The warranty is lifetime structural, 30 years wear at home and 15 years wear commercially, and hydronic underfloor heating is covered.
