PRODUCT INFORMATION
PRODUCT INFORMATION

Spotted Gum herringbone brings together Australia's most recognisable timber and the pattern that has defined European flooring for three centuries. The species' natural range of honey, chocolate and soft grey plays particularly well in a herringbone lay, because the alternating angle catches light differently on each block and amplifies the variation already in the grain.

Genuine spotted gum parquet is expensive, slow to lay, and needs sanding and sealing on site. This is SPC hybrid: a waterproof rigid core with a click profile, so it installs without adhesive and arrives finished. That puts a herringbone floor within reach of an ordinary renovation budget, and makes it viable in kitchens and entryways where timber parquet would be a risk.

The 625 x 125mm block is proportioned specifically for the pattern; herringbone laid from the wrong ratio looks cramped. Micro bevel edges define each piece so the chevron stays crisp, and the matte finish avoids the glare that gloss creates across so many angles. Supply and install available across Sydney. Herringbone is slower to lay than straight plank and rewards an experienced installer.
