Lifestyle Collection - Oatmeal - 12mm Hybrid Flooring

Oatmeal is the palest board in the Lifestyle Collection — a near-white cream carrying a faint green-grey cast that stops it reading as stark or clinical. Against white walls it recedes and lets furniture do the talking; against warm timber joinery it cools the room down. It is the floor to choose when you want the space to feel larger and lighter than it is.

Oatmeal is one of two colours in the range packed as a 0.810m² carton with two lengths rather than the 1.215m² three-length carton used for most of the collection, so order quantities work out differently — worth checking when you are costing a job.

The Lifestyle Collection is Preference Floors' EPC range — a composite polymer and stone fibre core, distinct from the SPC and WPC constructions used across the rest of the hybrid market. At 12mm it is the thickest hybrid Preference make, and it carries a 0.7mm commercial-grade vinyl wear layer where residential hybrid typically runs 0.3mm to 0.5mm. On a floor this pale that matters: wear and traffic lanes show sooner on light colours than dark ones.

A 2mm IXPE acoustic pad comes bonded to the underside, so there is no separate underlay to buy or lay. The surface is a matte PU finish rated P4 for wet slip under AS/NZS 4586:2013, and the boards click together as a floating floor over 200µm builders' film. Preference back it with a 25 year limited structural warranty, 20 years on the residential wear layer and 5 years commercial. It is an interior floor — not rated for bathrooms, laundries or powder rooms, and not a substitute for a waterproof membrane. Supply and install available across Sydney.
