Parkview Gardens - Mosman - 12.5mm Cut Pile Carpet

Mosman is a mid warm sage: an olive-grey that keeps just enough green to feel like a colour and just enough grey to stay liveable across a whole floor. It is the middle ground people usually want when they say they are tired of grey but are not ready for brown: it works with sage and putty paint, brass hardware, and warm timbers, and it is dark enough to be a genuinely practical mid-tone in a living room. Set against Double Bay the difference is temperature. Double Bay is the cooler, greyer version of a similar idea, Mosman the warmer, more olive one. Rosebery is essentially Mosman taken down to a deep sage-charcoal if you want the same character with far more weight. It is not a neutral, so in a strictly cool white scheme it can look slightly muddy.

The range is a Belgotex tufted cut pile in 100% stainproof solution dyed nylon on FusionBac backing. Mid-tone greens are notoriously easy to get wrong in a synthetic fibre; solution dyeing avoids the usual problem by colouring the nylon before it becomes yarn, so the olive note stays true and does not shift towards khaki with cleaning or sunlight.

Pile depth is the real choice here, and this is the 12.5mm one. Belgotex run Parkview Gardens and Riverside Reserve as official colour crossover ranges: same ten colour names, two very different builds. Riverside Reserve is 17.0mm and deeply plush; Parkview Gardens is 12.5mm, still a generous cut pile but distinctly firmer underfoot, which is why it is the one to use through traffic lanes, on stairs and in medium duty commercial spaces. The flecked yarn through the range gives a mid sage like Mosman an extra measure of mark-hiding. Rated Extra Heavy Duty Residential and Medium Duty Commercial, CRF 7.5kW/m2 to AS ISO 9239.1, low VOC emissions, no water used in solution dyeing, ISO 14001 and science-based emissions targets set.
