Onyx - 7.5mm Iconic WPC Hybrid Flooring

Iconic Onyx is the darkest board in the range, a near-black charcoal-brown with just enough grain showing to read as timber rather than as a painted surface. The name is accurate for once.

A near-black floor is a commitment. It makes a room feel more formal and more grounded, it hides nothing when it comes to dust, and it needs a light scheme above it to stop the space closing in. Where it works, it works completely: pale walls, pale furniture and one dark floor is a hard look to get wrong.

Because the surface is so dark, scratches show as pale lines more readily than they do on a mid tone. Felt pads under chair legs are not optional on this colour.

Each plank is 1520mm long, 228mm wide and 7.5mm thick, with 1.5mm of acoustic underlay already attached, and a carton covers 2.080m2. The core is wood plastic composite with no respirable crystalline silica, confirmed by an XRD test. Slip resistance is P3 on the wet pendulum test, and the floor tested at AAAC 6 Star for impact noise. Iconic is water resistant for interior rooms and is not suitable for bathrooms or laundries.
