Chiffon - 9.7mm Summit 977 SPC Hybrid Flooring

Summit 977 Chiffon is the palest board in the range, a pale warm greige-blonde with soft grain and little contrast. It is the whitewashed look without the coolness: there is enough warmth in it to sit with cream as well as white.

Pale floors make small rooms feel bigger and brighten rooms that face away from the sun. They show dust and hair sooner than a mid tone, though the low-contrast grain on this one hides marks better than a flat pale board would. It pairs with white and off-white walls, pale timber and soft textiles.

Summit 977 is 9.7mm thick, a 7.0mm rigid core with 2mm of EVA acoustic underlay already bonded on and a 0.7mm wear layer, in 1820mm by 225mm boards on a Valinge 5G click. The print carries 8 plank faces per repeat, which matters on a pale floor where a repeated knot is easy to spot.

It rated 6 Star for acoustics and is 100 percent waterproof, with bathrooms and laundries allowed subject to waterproofing codes. Terra Mater warrants it for life structurally, 30 years on wear at home and 15 years commercially, with hydronic underfloor heating covered.
