Blackbutt - 7mm Luxury Hybrid Flooring

Blackbutt in the 7mm range is a light to mid golden tan with fine straight grain and the dark gum vein streaks that mark the species, and it is a fair likeness: real blackbutt lays pale gold with a faint olive edge, and this sits only a shade warmer. It is the most Australian-looking of the six colours.

Golden blackbutt tones suit cream, warm white and stone walls, timber joinery and black or brass fittings, and they hide dust and footprints better than the whitewashed boards. In a west-facing room the gold warms further through the afternoon, so look at a board in that light before committing.

The board is 1520mm long and 230mm wide, 7mm thick, and comes six to a 2.0976m2 box weighing 22.59kg. The underlay is already bonded to the back, which saves a separate acoustic layer and the labour of laying it, and the core is 100 percent waterproof, so a spill or a wet-shoe day is not a problem.

The residential warranty is 25 years and the commercial warranty 10 years. If you want the same species look on a longer board, the 9mm range has Blackbutt at 1800mm.
