Set the name aside. Ocean Breeze is a mid warm grey-brown, a smooth taupe with soft grain and low contrast, and there is nothing blue or coastal about it. Bass Timber lists the same board as Ossa. If a pale sea-grey is what the name brought to mind, Paris or Barcelona are the boards to look at; this is the warm mid-tone of the range.
Mid greige-browns are the practical choice for a busy house. They hide dust better than pale boards and pale hair better than dark ones, and they sit with both grey and warm joinery. Under cool white LEDs the brown recedes and the board reads greyer; under warm globes it goes the other way.
Boards are 1520mm by 230mm and 7mm thick, six to a box, 2.0976m2 and 22.59kg. The acoustic underlay is factory-attached and the core is 100 percent waterproof, which is the spec a kitchen floor needs.
Bass Timber backs the floor for 25 years residential and 10 years commercial.
