Delta Sand - 8mm Oakleaf HD Plus Laminate Flooring

Delta Sand on the 8mm Oakleaf HD Plus board. As on the 12mm, the name misleads: this is a pale cool grey-white with a faint lilac cast, not the warm sandy tone it suggests. It is one of the coolest boards in the range, and it belongs in a contemporary scheme with white walls, black tapware and cool-toned stone rather than alongside oak furniture and warm whites. If warmth is what you want at this lightness, Alpine Mist is the board to compare it against.

The 8mm plank is 1215mm x 195mm against the 12mm's 2200mm x 196mm, which means more end joins per room. That matters more here than on most colours, because a pale low-contrast board gives the eye little else to look at, so if this floor is going into a large open space, the 12mm is worth the difference. Everything else is identical: the same high definition digital print, AC4 wear rating, super matte coating, and the same 48 hour water-resistant system built in three parts: a T Seam tight lock click profile, moisture-protection treated bevel edges, and an independently tested water-resistant core.

Same warranty as the thicker board too: 25 years limited structural and 20 years on the finish, and the same GOLD Greenguard certification for low chemical emissions. P3 slip under AS 4586, micro bevel on four sides, floating click installation with no adhesive.

One limitation on both boards: suitable over in-slab hydronic heating only, not electric underfloor heating. Supply and install available across Sydney.
