Delta Sand - 12mm Oakleaf HD Plus Laminate Flooring

Delta Sand is not the warm sandy tone the name implies. It is a pale cool grey-white with a faint lilac cast: among the coolest boards in the Preference Floors Oakleaf HD Plus range, and a genuinely different proposition to a beige or oatmeal floor. Taken for what it is, it is an excellent choice for a contemporary scheme with white walls, black tapware and cool-toned stone, where a warm pale floor would fight everything around it. But if it was warmth you were after, Alpine Mist and Sierra Oak are the two to look at instead. The difference between them and this is not subtle in a real room.

On a pale, low-contrast board the print quality is what separates convincing from cheap, and this is a high definition digital print with 30 pattern repeats, where most laminates cycle every six to ten boards. The less pattern there is to distract the eye, the more a short repeat gives itself away. The planks are 2200mm long and 196mm wide, so end joins are minimal across a large floor.

AC4 rated for everyday residential wear, with a 48 hour water-resistant core and a moisture-protection treated V4 micro bevel. Super matte coating keeps glare down, which matters most on pale floors under downlights. Välinge click floating installation, P3 slip under AS 4586, and GOLD Greenguard Certified for low chemical emissions. Preference back it with a 25 year limited structural warranty and 20 years on the finish.

One limitation: suitable over in-slab hydronic heating only, not electric underfloor heating. Supply and install available across Sydney.
