Windsor - 12mm Oakleaf HD Plus Laminate Flooring

Windsor is the cool pale in the Preference Floors Oakleaf HD Plus range: a soft greige-taupe with grey running through the grain and low, even contrast between planks. It is the board to choose when the room is already warm and the floor needs to settle it rather than add to it: it sits naturally with white walls, black tapware and cool-toned stone, where a golden pale board would push everything towards yellow. Alpine Mist and Sierra Oak are the warm equivalents if this reads too cool against your joinery.

On a pale, low-contrast board the print is what separates convincing from cheap, and this is a high definition digital print with 30 pattern repeats, where most laminates cycle every six to ten boards. The less pattern there is to distract the eye, the more a short repeat gives itself away across a long room. The planks are 2200mm long and 196mm wide, so end joins are kept well down on an open-plan floor.

AC4 rated for everyday residential wear, with a 48 hour water-resistant core and a moisture-protection treated V4 micro bevel, so a spill has time to be found and wiped before it reaches the joint. Super matte coating keeps glare down, which matters most on pale floors under downlights. Välinge click floating installation, P3 slip under AS 4586, and GOLD Greenguard Certified for low chemical emissions. Preference back it with a 25 year limited structural warranty and 20 years on the finish.
