Swish Aqua - Spotted Gum - 12.3mm Laminate Flooring

Spotted Gum is the deepest and richest of this range's four spotted gum decors, not the balanced middle its plain name suggests - a warm red-brown with strong orange undertones, dense figuring and the tonal jumps the species is known for running hard through every plank. QLD Spotted Gum sits a clear step lighter as a warm caramel, NSW Spotted Gum is greyer and more muted, and Spotted Gum Light is paler again. If you want the full colour the species can give you, this is the board. It is not the pick if your interior needs a uniform, low-contrast floor, or for a small dim room where the depth will close the space in.

Rich, heavily varied floors are the best camouflage you can buy: grit, scuffs and minor damage disappear into the pattern rather than sitting on top of it. Spotted Gum is a natural fit for Sydney homes with existing spotted gum decking, stairs or joinery, and it works hardest in rooms with good natural light and decent ceiling height, where the red in it reads as warmth rather than weight.

Every board in the Swish Aqua range is built the same way: 12.3mm thick, 2200 x 196mm, micro-bevelled, and joined with the Välinge 5G locking profile so the floor goes down floating and glueless over underlay. What you are really buying is the Aqua core - a core engineered to resist moisture, which is why the range is not restricted to dry areas the way conventional laminate is. VOC emissions are certified below E1, packs run 2.16 m2 over five boards and weigh 23kg, and the range is approved for interior areas in homes and commercial premises. A 25 year warranty covers private use. Supply and install available across Sydney.
