Swish Aqua - Spotted Gum Light - 12.3mm Laminate Flooring

Spotted Gum Light is the palest of the four spotted gum decors in this range - a soft warm tan with the species' tonal variation still present, but pitched several shades lighter and with the red and chocolate tones pulled back to caramel and pale honey. Against QLD Spotted Gum, the next step up, the difference is one of depth rather than kind; against plain Spotted Gum, the deepest and reddest of the four, the gap is dramatic. It suits contemporary Australian homes that want a recognisably native timber look without a dark floor. It is not the choice if you want the full richness the species can offer.

This is the easiest of the spotted gums to live with in a smaller or darker home, because it keeps the room open while still giving you enough variation to disguise daily wear. It sits comfortably against white, warm white and light grey walls, and it works beside existing pale hardwood without an obvious clash.

The Aqua platform is a 12.3mm board measuring 2200 x 196mm, micro-bevelled and fitted with Välinge 5G locking, which drops together and floats over underlay with no adhesive. The long board length is part of the look: fewer end joints per square metre reads calmer than a short-plank floor. The headline is the Aqua core, a moisture-resisting core that tolerates spills and damp mopping far better than a standard laminate substrate. It is not a waterproofing system and no laminate is waterproof, so please speak to us before you put it in a bathroom or laundry, where another product is usually the better answer.

Packs cover 2.16 m2 across five boards at 23kg, VOC emissions are rated below E1, and the range is suitable for interior areas of private homes and commercial establishments, with a 25 year warranty for private use. Supply and install available across Sydney.
