Swish Oak Natura Handcrafted - Sunlit Sienna - 14/3mm Engineered Oak Flooring

Sienna normally means a deep earthy red-brown, so this decor needs a plain correction: Sunlit Sienna is a soft, light blush-tan, a warm biscuit oak with a faint apricot undertone and nothing like the depth the name implies. It is the warmest of the three Handcrafted decors and only marginally deeper than Natural Canvas, which is its closest comparison and the cooler, greyer of the pair. Misty Quartz is darker and grey by contrast. Choose Sunlit Sienna if you want a light floor with quiet warmth and a gentle pink-gold cast; do not choose it expecting terracotta, rust or a rich red-brown, because none of that is present.

The gentle warmth makes this an easy floor to place in a room with existing timber furniture, warm white walls or brass fittings, where a cool greige would feel slightly at odds. Being light, it brightens a modest or south-facing room well. The hand-worked texture gives fine scratches somewhere to settle, but the pale body still shows dark grit, shoe scuffs and dropped food more than a mid-tone would, so it suits bedrooms, studies and considered living spaces better than a high-traffic entry. Test a sample under afternoon light, where the apricot note strengthens.

Swish Oak Natura Handcrafted is engineered oak with a more textural, hand-worked face: 14mm boards with a 3mm sawn oak wear veneer over a dimensionally stable core, sized 190 x 1900mm with micro-bevelled edges throughout. The Tongue and Groove profile means the floor can be glued down for a solid, quiet result or floated over underlay for speed and easier future lifting, and the two methods differ meaningfully in cost. The oak surface is real, so the floor can be sanded and recoated over the years instead of only replaced, with a 3mm veneer supporting fewer resurfacing cycles than the 4mm Wideboard boards. Engineered timber requires acclimatisation in the room before the first board is cut.

This range meets E1 low-emission requirements with VOC levels measured below 5ppm, so it is a sound choice where indoor air quality is a consideration. As with all real timber floors, individual boards differ in colour and grain, and the floor will change subtly with light exposure over the years, which is worth anticipating around rugs and furniture that shade parts of the surface. None of that is a defect. It is simply what natural oak does, and it is why a physical sample beats any photograph. Supply and install available across Sydney.
