Aquastop 12mm Laminate Flooring
Aquastop 12mm sits in the middle of Preference Floors' water resistant laminate flooring range, made by the Swiss Krono Group. The plank is 1380 x 193mm and a carton covers 1.332m2, so you will order more cartons per square metre than on the 8mm board.
Rated AC5 for abrasion with 48 hour protection against topical spills, the same as the 8mm. What the extra thickness buys is a more solid board underfoot and a quieter step. Warranty is 35 years limited structural and 5 years limited commercial.
Seven colours: Adaja, Artisan Oak Beige, Blackbutt, Bright, Spotted Gum, Urban Oak Natural and Zermatt. Blackbutt, Spotted Gum and Zermatt are also made in 8mm, see Aquastop 8mm. The 14mm board is wider again and carries 72 hour protection, see Aquastop 14mm.
Laminate is not a wet area floor. Preference publishes specific install requirements for bathrooms, laundries and powder rooms, so check those before laying it in one. Supply and install across Sydney, supply only if you are laying it yourself, or supply with support for your own installer. Free measure and quote available.
