Aquastop 8mm Laminate Flooring
Aquastop 8mm is the entry board in Preference Floors' water resistant laminate flooring range, produced by the Swiss Krono Group. The plank measures 1380 x 193mm and a carton covers 2.131m2.
It is rated AC5 for abrasion, a step above the AC4 that is common at this thickness, and the core is engineered to hold out topical spills for up to 48 hours. Warranty runs 35 years limited structural and 5 years limited commercial.
Eight colours: Blackbutt, Dublin, Helsinki, Lugano, Natural Oak Grey, Spotted Gum, Strasbourg and Zermatt. Blackbutt, Spotted Gum and Zermatt are also made in 12mm, so if you want the same decor on a thicker board see Aquastop 12mm. For the wider 2025 x 244mm plank and 72 hour water protection, see Aquastop 14mm.
Laminate is not a wet area floor. Preference publishes specific install requirements for bathrooms, laundries and powder rooms, so check those before laying it in one. Supply and install across Sydney, supply only if you are laying it yourself, or supply with support for your own installer. Free measure and quote available.

Like the Blackbutt decor, this one carries a species name the board does not quite live up to. Aquastop Spotted Gum is a mid warm brown with a grey overlay and noticeable plank-to-plank variation, some boards redder than others. Real...

Natural Oak Grey is a cool mid grey with silvery whitewashed grain running through it. The contrast between the grey ground and the pale grain is the strongest in the 8mm range, so the board reads as textured driftwood rather...

Dublin is a mid to dark warm reddish brown with pronounced knots and dark grain lines running the length of the board. It is the most rustic decor in the 8mm range and the warmest.Red-brown floors were out of favour...

A word of warning on the name. Aquastop Blackbutt is a mid grey-brown with a clear mauve cast, cooler and greyer than the Australian species it is named after. If you are matching to real blackbutt timber already in the...

Zermatt is a light warm honey-beige: a soft golden oak with gentle, even grain and none of the knotting or rustic texture found elsewhere in the Aquastop range. It is the gentlest of the warm boards here, and the easiest...

Strasbourg is a pale warm greige, exceptionally smooth, with minimal grain contrast and a soft neutral cast that sits almost exactly between warm and cool. It is the most neutral board in the entire Aquastop range, and that is its...

Lugano is a pale warm sandy beige: clean, fine-grained and quiet, with none of the knots or rustic character that mark the busier boards in the Aquastop range. It is the warm counterpart to Natural Oak Grey. Where that board...

Helsinki is a mid olive-grey oak: a smooth, flowing grain with a faint green cast that lifts it out of the usual grey-brown territory and gives it a distinctly Nordic character. That green undertone is the whole point of it....
