Helsinki - 8mm Aquastop Laminate Flooring

Helsinki is a mid olive-grey oak: a smooth, flowing grain with a faint green cast that lifts it out of the usual grey-brown territory and gives it a distinctly Nordic character.

That green undertone is the whole point of it. Olive-toned neutrals have quietly become the alternative to grey in Australian interiors because they sit naturally with plants, timber, rattan and earthy ceramics: the palette most homes have drifted towards. Against cool blue-grey furniture Helsinki will look slightly out of step; against warm timber and greenery it looks intentional.

The smooth, even grain makes it a calmer floor than the rustic boards in the range, which suits open-plan living where a busy print would be overwhelming across a large area.

Aquastop is AC5 rated, a step above the AC4 laminates common at this price for abrasion, scratch and impact resistance, with 48 hour water protection at 8mm and 12mm and 72 hours at 14mm. Colourfast and anti-static on an HDF core, patented Välinge 5G click, rated for in-slab hydronic heating and safe to wet mop. Supply and install available across Sydney.
