Screen colours vary between devices and our descriptions are a guide only. Slight variation between production batches is normal, so we recommend ordering all material for a job at once.
Iconic Limestone is a light warm tan-beige, smooth and evenly grained, a touch more golden than Crystal and without Crystal's pink undertone. Of the pale boards in the range it is the warmest, and it is the closest to what people picture when they say honey oak but want it paler.
Pale warm floors lift a room that does not get much light, and they sit well with the cream, stone and putty wall colours that have replaced cool greys in most new builds. The thing to watch is western sun, which pushes an already warm board towards orange through the afternoon; in a west-facing living room Crystal or Flagstone will hold their colour better.
The construction is the reason to choose Iconic over an SPC hybrid at the same price. The core is wood plastic composite, so there is no stone in it, and Preference Floors had the range tested by X-ray diffraction to confirm it contains no respirable crystalline silica. That matters most to whoever is cutting the boards.
Planks are 1520mm by 228mm and 7.5mm thick, with the 1.5mm acoustic underlay already attached, and a carton covers 2.080m2. The finish is a water-based PU matte with a V4 micro bevel. Iconic is an interior floor and water resistant rather than waterproof; the warranty excludes bathrooms and other wet areas.
